Course Tools

• GitHub — CHIPS starter code and your submissions live in the course GitHub organization. Accept your invitation early; you cannot start the CHIPS without it.
• Gradescope — module self-checks and CHIPS autograding.
• Ed — announcements and Q&A (link in the site header).
• PrairieTest — quiz/exam scheduling for the CBTF. Log in at us.prairietest.com with CalNet and accept the CS 169A invite.
• Extension request form for CHIPS (see the extension policy).

Who to Contact for Support

Course staff (instructor & GSIs) — via Ed or office hours:

• General, non-personal questions about course policies and procedures
• Questions about the course content (reading, lectures, and quizzes)
• Questions clarifying assignments, or about grades (contact your GSI)
• Personal questions about course policies: contact the instructor

Tech support:

• For bCourses/Canvas issues, use the Help button in bCourses’ left navigation.
• For Gradescope issues, use the Help menu inside Gradescope or email help@gradescope.com.
• Extensions and late submissions will not be accepted due to “technical difficulties” — if you hit technical problems, contact tech support immediately and document your interactions.
